Â
As a mindful movement professional, you guide clients through breath, movement sequencing, muscle activation and movement patterns. You look at their posture and make judgements about the efficiency of motion. If there is pain, you try to restore better patterns to help alleviate the issues. Many clients improve, but others continue to have issues even with core work and strengthening. Why?
Ask yourself do you really understand how the MIND dictates MOVEMENT, and how MOVEMENT remodels the MIND? Do you speak accurately about the sympathetic nervous system, proprioception and motor learning? This three part series will inform and guide Pilates movement professionals how to modify programming for clients who experience persistent movement problems, headaches, chronic pain or who have had a concussion.
